Dr. Vaughn A. McGraw received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in 1968 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 1972. He served in the United States Navy, Dental Corps from 1972-74. Dr. McGraw returned to the University of Michigan from 1974-77 to complete a residency in periodontics and received a Master of Science degree. He also was on staff of the Dental School as a clinical instructor. In 1977, Dr. McGraw opened the specialty practice of Northern Periodontics in Petoskey. He served as an examiner for the State of Michigan Specialty Board from 1984-88. |

Dr. Michael R. Doctor was born and raised in northern Michigan. He completed his undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in 1981. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Doctor practiced general dentistry for three years prior to returning to the University of Michigan for specialty training in Periodontics. During his residency, Dr. Doctor was also a clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontics. Upon completing his periodontal residency in 1990, he returned to northern Michigan to join the practice of Dr. Vaughn McGraw and the team at Northern Periodontics. |
Dr. McGraw and Dr. Doctor have both taken extensive professional continuing education with special emphasis on periodontology, implantology, and temporomandibular disorders. They are active in numerous professional organizations including:
