Dr. Vaughn A. McGraw is originally from Detroit, Michigan. He attended college locally and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in 1968 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 1972.
Upon graduation, he entered the United States Navy, Dental Corps in which he served from 1972-74.
Dr. McGraw returned to the University of Michigan in 1974 to complete a residency in periodontics and received a Master of Science degree. During this time he was also on staff at the Dental School as a clinical instructor. He has since applied his clinical expertise serving as an examiner for the State of Michigan Specialty Board from 1984-88.
In 1977, Dr. McGraw opened Northern Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in Petoskey. Professionalism and clinical expertise are the foundation of his practice.
Dr. McGraw engages in extensive professional continuing education with special emphasis on periodontology, implantology, and temporomandibular disorders. He is active in numerous professional organizations including:
